Avery Leblanc, BS
Marriage and Family Therapist Graduate Student Intern
I value the power of human connection and the meaning that can emerge from simply being present with one another. I believe people are inherently capable of growth and change, and I see my role not as someone who "fixes" problems, but as someone who walks alongside children, teens, adults, couples, and families as they explore, understand, and reshape their experiences. Therapy is a collaborative process where we work together to better understand challenges, relationships, emotions, and patterns while creating pathways toward healing, resilience, and growth.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I believe that our experiences do not happen in isolation. The relationships we have, the environments we live in, and the experiences we carry with us all influence how we see ourselves and connect with others. Whether I am supporting a child struggling with big emotions, helping a teen navigate life's challenges, working with an adult who feels overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or disconnected, helping parents better understand and support their child, or assisting couples and families in strengthening their relationships, I approach therapy with curiosity, compassion, and respect for each person's unique story.
I recognize that people often develop ways of protecting themselves in response to difficult experiences, stress, transitions, or emotional pain. For children, these protective strategies may show up through behavior, withdrawal, anxiety, or difficulty expressing emotions. For teens and adults, they may appear as patterns in relationships, communication, self-esteem, or coping. These strategies often serve an important purpose, and together we can explore them with curiosity rather than judgment. As we better understand these patterns, we can create opportunities for greater connection, flexibility, and well-being. I also believe that change is happening every day, even in small ways, and I work to help clients notice, honor, and strengthen the growth that is already unfolding in their lives.
I believe time is one of our most valuable resources, and I strive to use our time together intentionally. In therapy, we may explore emotions, relationships, communication patterns, parenting challenges, family dynamics, life transitions, self-esteem, anxiety, stress, behavioral concerns, or the experiences that continue to shape how you experience yourself and others. My goal is to help children, teens, adults, couples, and families build greater understanding, strengthen relationships, and develop the tools and confidence needed to navigate life's challenges.
I bring openness, warmth, and authenticity into each therapeutic relationship. No matter what experiences have led you, your child, your relationship, or your family to therapy, I believe everyone has the capacity to reconnect with their strengths, create meaningful change, and move toward a more fulfilling and empowered future.
If you're feeling stuck, navigating a difficult season, concerned about your child, struggling in a relationship, feeling overwhelmed by life's demands, curious about change, or simply looking for a supportive space to reflect and grow, I invite you to reach out. Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your child, your relationship, or your family, I would be honored to walk alongside you in that journey.
