Kaila Wylie, MS, MFT

Hi! I’m Kaila. I work best with individuals, couples, and families who are ready to do the brave, often messy work of breaking patterns and creating lives that actually feel like their own. Even when we know we are ready to make change, change is scary, as our habits and behaviors are familiar and ingrained. These patterns usually served a purpose at some point in our lives — but when you are seeking growth, it’s often time to say bye to these parts of ourselves that we’ve outgrown and don’t serve us any longer. It’s not only scary to part ways — it’s often sad (I think of the scene with Bing Bong in "Inside Out").

However, breaking patterns & changing behavior is worth it, even though it’s intimidating, uncomfortable, & challenging. Once you commit to this journey and live a life that is congruent with who you are, a sense of security is created that feels completely liberating (regardless of your stage of life).

I’m here to help guide you through this process; you are the leader. My approach is integrative — often incorporating the tenets of exposure & response prevention (ERP), emotionally focused therapy (EFT), internal family systems (IFS) (also often referred to as “parts work”), attachment theory, & somatic therapy — & tailored to honor the uniqueness of you.

I received my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of New Hampshire in August 2023. I am a New Hampshire Board of Mental Health Candidate for Licensure, working under the supervision of Jennifer Golia, LMFT.
