A Unique Intake Process Built for Meaningful Work
My intake process is designed to honor both your time and commitment, as well as mine. Rather than brief consultations, I invite you to begin your therapeutic journey with a full session. This allows us the time needed for a thorough, clinically-informed assessment and gives you the space to consider if my insight-oriented, experiential approach is the right fit for you.
My work is active and transformative, focusing on self-reflection and honest exploration of your inner world. Together, we’ll look at the stories you tell yourself, and I’ll guide you in turning challenges into opportunities for growth and empowerment. Because this process is deep and requires trust, a short consultation cannot capture its essence or ensure a good therapeutic fit.

Health Insurance Benefits
I do not accept health insurance benefits for Couple and Family therapy. To learn why, please visit our Relational Therapy and FAQ pages.
For individuals, if you are using insurance benefits to pay for the initial appointment or psychotherapy services, please disregard the below information regarding Private Pay Rates.
Private Pay Rates
Initial appointment (individual, couple, or family): $225
Ongoing individual therapy (55 min): $175/session
Ongoing couples therapy (55 min): $200/session
Financial Accessibility
I am committed to making therapy accessible to those clients deemed clinically appropriate and a good fit. If finances are a concern, and you do not have access to mental health benefits, when you complete the intake email at the end of this page you will be asked to tell me what you feel you can pay for the initial and ongoing sessions. If I can accommodate your request, I will proceed with setting up your client portal; if not, I will provide our with referrals to other providers.
How to Get Started
If you are comfortable proceeding, the primary way to get started with me is to click the green button at the bottom of this page which will prompt you to provide me with the specific information needed to setup your client portal. Once you setup your client portal, you will be able to see my availability and book your first appointment. Appointments are available on a first come first serve basis.
Once submitted, allow 2–3 business days for me to activate your client portal. You will receive an email from TherapyPortal inviting you to setup your client portal. Please add @TherapyPortal.com to your approved sender list and check your spam/junk folders to ensure you don’t miss this message.
Once your client portal is set up, you can view my availability and request your initial appointment. Please select me as the provider at the 35 Third Street location. I am no longer taking new clients at the Dover Point location.
When I am notified of the request I will send the required forms for you to complete before your respective appointment, these forms are required to be signed in order for me to approve your appointment request.
Your appointment request will remain pending until all forms are completed. Forms must be completed at least 4 days before your requested appointment time. This allows time for insurance verifications and payment method confirmation, or to schedule another client into that time slot should you choose not to attend the appointment.
If your requested appointment is not approved at least 4 days before the requested appointment time due to incomplete form submission, I will deny your appointment request. You are welcome to request another appointment when you’re ready, but the same process applies.
Inactive prospective client portal accounts in which no initial appointment or therapeutic relationship commenced, will be deleted within 7 to 10 days.
